La présente norme Internationale établit et définit les termes utilisés dans la documentation technique de produit relatifs aux dessins techniques, à la définition de produits et à la documentation associée dans tous les champs d´application.Le présent vocabulaire est fondésur l´ensemble des termes contenus dans les normes de l´ISO/TC 10 et dans d´autres documents qui couvrent la documentation technique de produits, quelles qu´en soient les disciplines. Les termes ont été classés en champs d´application spécifiques.Les nouveaux termes exigés par les sous-comités et groupes de travail de l´ISO/TC 10 pour les normes nouvelles ou révisées seront ratifiés par l´équipe chargée de la maintenance du vocabulaire de l´ISO/TC 10 et seront inclus dans les futurs amendements de la présente Norme internationale.
